Last updated: November 2007

We want our media partners to easily integrate their content onto Bebo and share it with our audience. The breakdown of this approach is to:

  1. Create Channel Profile(s) - The Channel Profile is the hub for content owners/creators to distribute and program their video content of a particular theme and create community and dialog with users.
  2. Content Programming - upload video feeds to the Channel Profile(s) created in step 1.
  3. Customize and enhance the Channel Profile(s).
  4. Manage the Channel Profiles.

Implementation process

Follow the steps below to quickly put your video content on Bebo:

  1. Become a member of Bebo and then go to http://www.bebo.com/MediaPartner.jsp to apply for Media Partner status.
  2. Once your Bebo account has been approved for Media Partner status, you'll be notified by email.
  3. Log into your Bebo account again, you'll see the Media Partner action links on the top left part of your home page
  4. From there, click on the 'Create a new Channel Profile' link, and fill in the necessary information on the next page
  5. After the profile is created, you'll be taken to the Media Content Information page
  6. Enter the URL of your MRSS feed page and click the 'Preview' button
  7. If no errors occurred during the processing of the feed, a list of videos (up to 50 can be process at one time for now) will be shown below on that page. Any invalid videos will be automatically rejected, with reasons for rejection stated. Please preview the videos to ensure that they are playing properly, individual videos can be rejected by the 'reject' checkbox to the left of the video.
  8. Click on the 'Save Videos' button below to save the videos. At this point you'll be automatically taken to the Channel Profile page where the videos will be show
  9. Create a customized skin. The Channel Profile page will have the default look at this point, please take the time to customize this page by creating a unique branded skin (which your audience will be able to use later to further promote your content).
  10. Manage your Channel Profile. You can adjust or change the skin at anytime. You can also adjust or chance the content feed if you chose. You can manage and re-arrange the modules that are part of your standard profile as well as edit your Channel Profile information.

That's pretty much if for putting up your content on Bebo. Once you have one or more Channel Profiles created, you can click on the 'Manage Channels' link from your Bebo profile page to activate them into your Channel Brand, which will be published on Bebo.
